The Trouble with Cam Girls

Without question the most public complaint on the Fuckbook site would be related to Cam girls. Call them by different names but essentially they behave the same, their motives are to lure willing FB members to another location for a paid service. Many new members have fallen in their clever traps woo’ed by promises of a heart pounding video chat. So how do you spot a ‘Cam Girl’ and how can you avoid falling victim to their scams?

I hear a lot of men talk about their conversations with these girls and there are many common factors and early warning signs that can help you be discerning before you have even reached out to reply “hello”.

Reading their profile

1.Location

It occurs to me that a lot of the people who create these accounts aren’t very smart. A perfect example of this was the plague of Cam Girls that descended upon the site a few months back from Australind, Australia. Australind is a small south west coastal town with a population of less than 13,000 residents. Unless someone spiked the water in that town which turned all the housewives horny, it really is quite unlikely that those profiles are all real.

I think you would find it common practice among ‘real’ women who hail from small country towns to report their location being the nearest large city or state capital, for safety and privacy reasons.

Sometimes once chatting with these girls you might find them to be a bit vague on their location, i.e. They grew up in Australind, studying in Sydney and currently (and most conveniently) in your location.

Location itself is not a determining factor but it’s a good point to start.

2.Status’

Another tell-tale sign is when their status includes their $k-ype address, external website … or phone number. This is a short point.. thinking of all the profiles on this site and sometimes (and unfortunately) the unsavory types that frequent sex sites is a real girl going to post her personally contact information for all to see. No (at least I hope not).

3.User name

Cam Girls seem to like numbers and ‘X’’s. Now this isn’t a black and white rule because regular users can also add these to their profile names but if you are suspicious do a quick search for similar user names. An example is a user who created close to 600 LucyBell profiles, starting at LucyBell01 and continuing numerically (eg. LucyBell589) a quick search of LucyBell would give any FB user a clear indication of whether Lucy Bell was a fake profile.

4.Photos

While it is not against the rules on Fuckbook to use photos from the internet, there are clearly scammers on here that try to pass those photos off as their own. How to catch a liar out? Easy! … the photo, open up Google Images, drag the image from the original window to your Google Images search field and Google will automatically search and list all websites that feature the image of your search. I don’t suggest you tell people you have searched their images.. but you will be able to question them about photos and make a decision on whether to continue talking to them based on their answers.

Talking with Cam Girls

So she got you into a chat…. and you didn’t hear the alarm bells ringing when she introduced herself with, “Wanna get hard?” How are you going to stop a scam before you end up horny as hell with a maxed out credit card? Pay attention to their language and think smart.. if that’s not helping you here’s some conversation examples to make it plain as day:

  1. “But its all free baby don’t worry” (yes, worry.. walk away.. no, wait, run.. its going to cost you if you stay)

  2. “Im going to send you a … where you can get access to my cam” (cams work on Fuckbook fine, you don’t need to verify, activate or … them.. therefore if she is taking you to another site be prepared to pay)

  3. “Please vote for me” (translates “Im trying to get your money for my boss”)

  4. “Im going to let you borrow my guest code on my private page but promise me you’ll never give it to others ok?” (no she isn’t, she is luring you deeper)

The best method to avoiding Cam Girls is to help each other by reporting them to the site Moderators (the ones with the little red badge beside their name). Moderators have the privilege of being able to remove these fake accounts. Its as simple as sending details of the conversation you have had via a private message. The more each of us work at removing them the cleaner the site will become.

Im sure there must be other examples of warning signs you have experienced. Feel free to post your (respectful) comments below. Remember Fuckbook is a community and our strength lies in our differences, not in our similarities.
